About the role
This is an opportunity for a Junior Maintenance Officer to join our Orchard maintenance team. This role is pivotal to our walnut operation. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who is motivated to learn in a dynamic workshop environment. You will be flexible to be on call, as required, to carry out maintenance involved in shift work through harvest and seasonal periods. Overtime and weekend work is available in this role, if desired.

Duties include but not limited to
- Assist in maintaining and repairing harvest plant equipment
- Assist in maintaining and repairing plant and processing equipment
- Perform breakdown maintenance
- Detect problems by performing basic diagnostic testing on equipment
- Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed and
make recommendations as necessary
- Manage and adhere to the programmed maintenance schedule
- Record all maintenance activities

Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience
- Mechanical aptitude or eager to learn
- Driver's Licence
- Forklift licence is beneficial but not essential
